BSIDE Youth Protection Policy

The Backers Inc. (the "Company") implements this policy under the Youth Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization so that young users can use the Service safely.

1. Basic Principles

  1. BSIDE is designed as a general-audience service (recommended 12+) and does not provide an adult mode or sexual content. This applies to the entire Service regardless of age verification.
  2. Persons under 14 may not register.

2. Protection from Harmful Content

  1. Control at the generation stage: all Personas are designed under the Company's utterance standards (no sexual expression, restricted physical description, no violence/hate), and are built not to deviate even when induced by users.
  2. Utterance verification: every AI-generated utterance passes an automated verification system; utterances outside the standards are blocked before exposure.
  3. Ongoing inspection: the Company continually reviews effectiveness via sampling and operates an emergency kill switch to immediately stop exposure when problems are found.

3. Operations for Young Users

  1. Overuse prevention: do-not-disturb settings for notifications, with late-night sending restricted by default.
  2. Payment protection: payments go through app market systems; purchases by minors require legal-guardian consent and may be canceled under applicable laws without it.
  3. Crisis response: if expressions suggesting harm (e.g., self-harm) are detected, the Service may provide protective guidance, such as professional counseling contacts.

4. Reporting Harmful Content

Users may report inappropriate content via the in-app report feature or the contact below. Reports are reviewed without delay and results are notified to the reporter.
